Black cats and vampire bats
Are the creatures often come to mind
In this ghoulish time of year
But we often forget the hounds.
There are no warnings of bad luck
No caution to watch the sky
They stalk quietly, unseen
Waiting for the right time to attack
You might see them coming
But only once its too late
You’re in it’s teeth now
You’re either damned
Or you’re meat.
So respect the docile creatures
Their dark appearances you needn’t fear
For cats only prey on the rats
And bats only thirst for cattle.
But the hounds care not
If you’re sinner or saint.
They will hunt you down
Beware, beware of the hound.
